Volkswagen Volkrun Concept

Volkrun concept car has been designed as part of Volkswagen design contest 2014. The brief was to display optimum creativity in variety fields of car design: exterior, interior, user interface, graphic, and color/trim. The challenge here is to come up not only a Volkswagen video game car but also a new video game scenario for the concept.

Sophisticated audience of the future is not interested in ordinary car racing anymore. Now everything depends not only on a vehicle power, but also on a physical training of each pilot. There are portal-checkpoints on the track. They are located all over the world and each of them can pass a limited number of bolides. Passing through the portal the car is teleported to another part of the world with completely different climate and landscape area. The race ends when only the one driver is on the track.

High Technologies made it possible to create an entirely new principle of human-machine interaction. Bionic muscles provide total control of the car, have a variety of movement configurations and protect the pilot.

GIGABay and Ceres G Space Tourism Team

GIGABay and Ceres G Space Tourism Team is an ambitious proposal from Oscar Vinals, one of our favorite transportation designers that focuses on space tourism subject. We've been dreaming of the possibility to enjoy space adventure, becoming a privileged space tourist, now that dream looks like coming true, thanks to many Space Tourism projects which are in development today.

The proposal here consists of a large cargo plane called GIGABay and a spaceship shuttle called "Ceres G", a compact vehicle built with the latest generation of high tech materials. You can read step by step details on how this system works in Vinals' own words.

1. The "GIGABay" loads on its special cargo bay, there are 3 Spaceships "Ceres G", one is at the launch pad and the other 2 subjected in a system similar to an industrial chain production, are located in the ceiling of the cargo bay. After launching the first vehicle "Ceres G", the system loads another vehicle on the catapult launch, until all three spaceships are launched.

2. The "GIGABay" takes off from any airport, reaches 13,000m of altitude, opens tailgates (remember that the "GIGABay" concept plane is equipped with a special system to control the pressure inside cargo bay)… extends the EMSC System (Electro Magnetic Space Catapult) with a length of almost 50m (extended) of electro magnetic's rail with an angle of inclination of 20° with the horizontal plane from the fuselage's "GIGABay"; launches the "Ceres G" when it reaches an ejection speed of about 200km/h.

3. The vehicle "Ceres G" is ejected about 200km/h, when the air flow "hits" on the back side, thanks to its design is pushed, reaching a speed of more than 600km/h.

4. A few seconds later, the rocket engine is started and the Spaceship "Ceres G" is propelled to an altitude of 115,000m.

5. Space tourists can enjoy few minutes in Zero Gravity … and after, thanks to 11 boosters' "Ceres G" put the ship in the best path for a safe descent.

6. Thanks to a special designed "Ceres G" fuselage, this descends into a glide flight taking advantage of the airflow, redirecting it when intakes from the ducts over the fuselage and exit from the rear variables exhaust.

7. The "Ceres G" lands on any airport runway and our Space Adventure ends with success.

8. Six Space Adventurers have conquered the Space border; One pilot and five Space Tourists one of those with the privilege of having traveled in the co-driver seat.

The main goal of this concept Space Tourism transportation system is to optimize all resources while allowing more people to afford this space adventure. GigaBay has been designed as an eco-friendly concept airplane, perhaps we can start discussing "Green Space Tourism" in this 21st century.

Aeromobil Flying Car with Collapsible Wings

Henry Ford once says that there'll come a day where an airplane and a motorcar combined into one. It looks like that day is not that far from now, Aeromobil has designed and developed a real flying car, yes, the company already has a working prototype. This concept flying car has been designed to make use of existing infrastructure which is created for standard cars and planes, it opens a new way to travel. Developed in Slovak Republic, this sleek and lightweight vehicle even fits a standard parking space, thanks to its collapsible wings, you can fill the fuel tank at any gas station. You can ride it on road traffic while as a plane, it can both take off and land at any airport worldwide.

The ambition is about to become real, the third generation of the prototype is compact, stylish, and comfortable for both driver and passenger. It took 20 years in development, but it's well worth the wait, a vehicle that combines the performance of a sports car yet with qualities of an ultralight, has finally taken to the skies. With steel framework and carbon coating, Aeromobil Flying Car weighs around 450kg (empty), as a plane, it can reach a top speed up to 124mph (200km/h), while as a car, it can reach a top speed of 100mph (160km/h).

QUANT e-Sportlimousine

QUANT e-Sportlimousine was introduced at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, it's a luxurious car with nanoFLOWCELL drivetrain concept. It's a futuristic vision that becomes reality, during the press day, this car aroused great international media interest.

nanoFLOWCell AG presents you with the world's first automobile powered by nanoFLOWCELL drivetrain concept. It's a 4-seater sports car with 5.25-meter body length and 2.2-meter wide with sporty design. At this moment, the company is still continuing testing for the first roadworthy prototype which offers ground-breaking battery development, in particular in the field of flow cell battery technology.

Nunzio La Vecchia, Technical Director of nanoFLOWCELL AG says that this car is the first automobile equipped with nanoFLOWCELL which is also designed from the scratch to meet up homologation requirements. Through extensive research and development, the company is able to produce the first prototype during the last few years.

nanoFLOWCELL works by combining all aspects of electrochemical accumulator cells with fuel cells. The liquid electrolytes are stored inside 2 tanks and circulated through the cell. At the heart of the system, there's a membrane that separates 2 electrolytic solutions but still allows electrical charge to pass through in order to produce power for drive train. This technology has high charge density, high performance density, and very light compared to conventional energy storage systems. It doesn't contain harmful substances, any moving parts, and is very efficient. Compared to lithium ion technologies, nanoFLOWCELL offers 5-times greater performance-by-weight which means it is able to reach 5-times greater driving range.

The interior features futuristic dashboard, there are 2 rows of seats, one behind the other just like jet-cockpit style. The pain color also has won a lot of fans when presented in Geneva, "Crystal lake blue" which is developed exclusively for this car to reflect the power of the powertrain. sensorFLOW technology offers a visual highlight like you've never seen before in automobile control elements, at first sight, all you see is natural, smooth ash wood surface, but once it's activated, all control elements become visible through the natural wood. Any light touch of your finger triggers appropriate action of the system.

Manatee Deep Sea Sub

We've gone to the moon and even sent probes to Mars, but it's mind boggling to think that we've only managed to explore 10% of our own vast oceans! This is in part because the deep sea has been limited to scientists and research groups. The Manatee submersible concept vehicle was designed to give the rest of us a chance to do a little exploring of our own. More about recreation than scientific discovery, the interior is roomy and comfortable for a relaxing experience. A simple user interface, joystick controls and touch screen controls ensure anyone can get the hang of it.
