Aircraft Seating Concept

As someone who spends a lot of time of flying long haul in economy class, we can feel your pain. There's should be a way to improve the experience, perhaps Meerkat Seat concept is the answer. This conceptual aircraft passenger seat enhances your economy class passenger's experience while still minimizing fuel and maintenance cost for the aviation business' sake. This seat eliminates the battle of armrest by providing patented dual-user armrest also provides better backrest for you to relax and stretch out.

Forever Moving Trains

Inspired by the infrastructure of the internet, Moving Platforms is a completely interconnected rail system where local trams connect to a network of non-stop high speed trains enabling passengers to travel from their local stop to a local address at their destination (even another country) without getting off a train. Sounds far out right?! Hit the jump and watch the interview with the designer to see how it works!

Moving Platforms involves a network of high speed trains that run non-stop between two ends of a continent, Los Angeles to New York for instance. The high speed trains run on a line that passes outside towns and cities with a network of local feeder trams that carry passengers from local stops out to meet them. As they near each other, the high speed train slows down slightly and the tram speeds up alongside it, at which point the trains physically connect via a docking system allowing passengers to transfer directly across from the tram to the high speed train and vice versa.

Once transfers are complete, the trains separate, with the high speed train speeding up again along its route, and the tram slowing down and going back into the town or city centre with the newly disembarked passengers.

The tram, in effect, acts as a moving station. The same system could also be used by passengers transferring from one high speed train to another.

Electric McLaren Concept

Lightness and aerodynamic efficiency are refined to perfection in this single seater concept, the McLaren JetSet. Iconic McLaren styling in the front meets a futuristic backside fit with drag-reducing draped fenders and all. Because there's no rear seat, the body can taper narrower and lower to further enhance aerodynamics, while ultralight carbon fiber composites in the chassis, body, suspension and wheels keep the 100%-electric car's weight to a minimum.

Fuel Cell Scooter

Until the electric car is perfected, here's a design that might be a bit more practical for city-goers. Powered by modern hydrogen fuel cell technology, the H2Scoot provides a clean and easy way of getting around urban spaces. Only slightly bigger than a Razor scooter, the compact design features rear steering for increased maneuverability, a lightweight monocoque carbon fiber body and customizable telescopic steering.

Pure Light Mercedes Concept

The Pure Light is a concept vehicle for the elite in China, especially aimed for cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, where people can appreciate luxury. Inspired by Taoism, this 4-seater car uses superconducting magnetic levitation technology. The levitating feel and fluid form deceive you into thinking that you are gliding in space. It also uses light as a calming element and hologram technology. Simply elegant!
